The foundation, guided by its Mission and Values, seeks to support organizations that improve and/or expand the scope of learning environments of children and youth, especially those from economically and socially disadvantaged families. We strongly favor small or medium sized organizations running programs that address a compelling educational need for a clearly defined target population; with multiple stakeholders and beneficiaries; proving effective via quantitative and qualitative data; and delivering organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, and fiscal responsibility.
Although the foundation is not currently accepting unsolicited proposals from organizations we have not funded before, we will accept letters of introduction via online submission only from August 1 through December 31, 2008. This is an opportunity for non profits aligned with our mission to let the foundation know about the work you are doing, in a short, prescribed format, and to be included in our database (and mailings, if you wish).
