Application Information

Initial online applications from eligible organizations will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Successful initial applicants will be asked for a more comprehensive proposal submission, additional information and phone or site interview. Final decisions will be made by the board at summer and fall/winter board meetings. A total of up to $450,000 is available for these competitive cycle grants. This small foundation seeks to partner with approximately ten to fifteen New Applicants in 2008 for Direct Program Support, with the balance to be awarded to select Prior Grantees for renewed program support, capacity building or various other types of high engagement support.

All applications should demonstrate that the proposed grants would advance the Foundation's Funding Initiative, below.

NEW APPLICANTS: $7,500 to $15,000 range grants.
Our current grant application is now closed. Please check back in the late summer 2008 for an update on future open cycles.

  • If you have NOT previously received grant funds from this foundation, you are considered a New Applicant.
  • The foundation will consider applications for Program Support only.
  • The organization must have at least one full year's operational and financial history to share with the foundation; and the program you seek funding to support must have a proven track record of measurable results.

PRIOR GRANTEES: $7,500 to $30,000 range grants.
Reviewed on a rolling basis. Online submission no later than August 1, 2008 at 5 pm. Please consult with the foundation on specific questions.

  • You may apply once your final report has been submitted on your previous grant. Grant funds may be for Direct Program Support, Capacity Building Projects, Expansion, Dissemination/Collaboration, or Challenge/Matching Grants to assist with fund development, or a proposed combination that may include General Operating support.
  • Special attention is given to proposed projects that offer a high return on investment, defined by an opportunity to create a synergistic effect on funding, a means to increase the organization's economic self-sufficiency and/or benefit the organization for the long term.
